Abdulla Rashim, Adam Strömstedt, Art Alfie, Axel Boman, Axel Hallqvist, Bella Boo, Dro Carey/Tuff Sherm, Eli Verveine, Enmetertre, Estroe, Evropa, Gena, Henrik Bergqvist, Ida Matsdotter/ Fjäder, Jenny Persson, Jessie Granqvist, Jin Mustafa, Johanna Knutsson, Johanna Schneider, Johan Östman, Kliin, Kornél Kovács, La Fleur, Leo Forssell, Love Lagerberg, M.Wrecker, Martin Kling, Maya Lourenço/ Lemieux,Midland, Mount Liberation Unlimited, Mr. Tophat, Nadja Chatti, Noah Gibson, Nikki Pryke, Pistol Pete, Raffaele Attanasio, Recondite, Romb Stockholm, Sandra Mosh, Sara Lego Kanerva, Sankt Göran, Sling & Samo, Staffan Lindberg, Tobias Gullberg, Trunkfunk Records, Y+M, Yourhigness

Small Journal of Beats

streckaddsjb

Hello helios.
This is somewhat of a public announcement. But it’s no biggie. We’re just letting you know that we’re doing a slight re-naming of the site and what not.
We’ve been rolling for about 2 years, we’ve had over 20k readers from all over the world and done som fun stuff interviews and dj-gigs.
From the begginging it was just a tumblr where i posted tracks as a playlist for myself. Pretty fast it started to get followers and i realized i wanted to try out the idea of doing small accesible interviews with the people who keeps us dancing weekend after weekend. So that’s why the site moved, but i kept the name that really had no thought behind it. Så Jävla Balearic (So Fucking Balearic) was just something i picked since there was a big balearic wave going through dancemusic.
Since the site started to get more and more readers the name started to become lost in translation a bit. I started getting mails from balearic guitarist about posting stuff that really did’nt fit the site and so on. No pun against the balearic stuff but at the same time the site had as many readers around the world as here in Sweden so i started to write in english and the name just started to become a bit in the way. So we’ve been flying under the abbreviation SJB which we’ll keep on doing we’re just changing the meaning of the letters to something more useful for us and easier for international readers. Because we’re really happy that so many of you who find this place is based everywhere from Mauritius to New Caledonia.

Still SJB but from now on Small Journal of Beats.

THANK YOU!
